David’s Post (3/2/09)

I found an interesting article from the magazine “News Media and the Law” discussing legal developments with regard to online news sites and anonymous sources. I can’t get the link to work, but if you type in “Guarding the unnamed writers of the Internet” into Google, it should come up.

Here’s an excerpt:

“Traditional state shield laws, which protect newspapers and reporters from revealing confidential sources and information, are being adapted to protect the identities of readers who comment anonymously on newspaper Web sites.”
